2024 Downhill World Cup Hits France’s Les Gets with Thrilling Races and Fantasy League Competition

The 2024 Downhill World Cup series is taking place in Les Gets, France, where the fifth round will be held at the renowned venue in the Haute Savoie region. Riders will be gearing up for qualifying on Friday followed by the main race on Saturday. This event promises to be an exciting and competitive showdown between some of the best downhill riders in the world.

The official Qualifying start list will be updated once riders have confirmed their attendance with the organizers. The event will feature elite men, elite women, junior women, and junior men categories. Fans can expect to see some top riders competing on this challenging course.

In addition to the downhill races, Pinkbike Fantasy Downhill League in Association with Five Ten is also taking place. Participants have a chance to win prizes in this contest, which is open to legal residents of Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Germany, United Kingdom, and 50 United States and DC. The contest runs from March 18, 2024, to October 6, 2024.

The grand prize includes a cash portion of 5,000 USD, which will be awarded in the form of a check for US and Canadian winners or a bank wire transfer for winners from Australia or Germany. Winners outside these countries will receive the cash prize in their local currency based on the current foreign exchange rate. Contest details, eligibility requirements and prize descriptions can be found in the Official Rules. Void in Quebec and any other prohibited areas.

Les Gets has been hosting downhill mountain bike races since 1993 and has become one of the most popular destinations for professional riders around the world due to its challenging terrain and scenic beauty.

Riders will face off against each other on a fast-paced course that features steep drops and technical sections that require precision and skill. With so many talented riders competing at this level it’s sure to be an intense battle for victory.
