Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone had a world-record breaking performance in the semi-finals of the women’s 400m hurdle event at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – track & field in Eugene, Oregon. The reigning Olympic champion and world record holder effortlessly cruised to a time of 52.48, just edging out her rival Femke Bol’s time of 52.49 from the European Championships.
McLaughlin-Levrone had no trouble beating Rio 2016 champion Dalilah Muhammad in her heat, with both women securing their spots in the final. Anna Cockrell had the second-fastest time of the day with a 52.95, followed by Shamier Little (53.49), Jasmine Jones (53.66), and Rachel Glenn (53.68) in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions respectively.
