On Thursday evening, the Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento opened its gates to a line of people eager to secure their ideal spots on the field and in the stadium to watch the spectacular fireworks display. Holli Wood arrived early with her children to avoid the crowds and claim their spot in the shade.
Val Gomez, attending for the first time instead of having a family fireworks show, emphasized the importance of celebrating independence and family on the holiday. The event recognized and thanked service members for their contributions. Across the street, Drake’s at the Barn hosted its own watch party for the fireworks.
