A Closer Look at Chris Harris’ Time Training With Peyton Manning: How the No Fly Zone Secondary Thrived with One of the Greatest Quarterbacks of All Time

Chris Harris reflects on the experience of practicing against the ‘amazing’ Peyton Manning

Chris Harris, a star cornerback for the Denver Broncos from 2012-2015, recently reflected on his experience of going up against Peyton Manning in practices during that time. In an interview with Kay Adams on the “Up & Adams Show”, Harris described Manning as being extremely prepared, noting that he would go to great lengths to simulate game conditions in order to improve his game.

Harris praised Manning’s attention to detail and precision on the field, which helped him improve as a defensive back. The cornerback was particularly impressed by Manning’s exceptional timing and accuracy, highlighting how the quarterback would release the ball before the receiver even made his break. This resulted in perfectly placed passes that made Manning stand out among other quarterbacks in the league.

As part of the “No Fly Zone” secondary, Harris and his fellow defensive backs played a key role in helping the Broncos win Super Bowl 50 in 2016. The back-and-forth battles against Manning were instrumental in their success, pushing them to elevate their game and improve their skills. For Harris, practicing with Manning was an invaluable experience that helped him become a cohesive and dominant unit on the field.
