Riccardo Ricciardi, a member of M5S party, criticized Berlusconi’s legacy, particularly citing his conviction for tax fraud and strained relationship with the judiciary. Ricciardi questioned Berlusconi’s political and liberal revolution and accused him of polluting the relationship between politics and the judiciary.
In response to criticisms, Tajani defended Berlusconi’s political legacy by emphasizing his respect for institutions and ability to work with different political parties. He highlighted the importance of respecting political opponents and fighting ideas rather than attacking individuals.
