Newport Mental Health has announced the return of its 9th Annual Golf Tournament, “Drive for Mental Health,” which will take place at The Aquidneck Club on June 17, 2024. This event offers a rare opportunity to play on the private, links-style championship course designed by Donald Steel. The par 71 course, located in Portsmouth, provides stunning views of upper Narragansett Bay.
President & CEO of Newport Mental Health, Dayna Gladstein, expressed excitement for the event, emphasizing the beauty of the location and the importance of raising funds for mental health services in Newport County. Horan Building Company will be returning as the presenting sponsor for the tournament, inviting local businesses and golf enthusiasts to join in supporting Newport Mental Health.
Last year’s winning team achieved an impressive score of 56 in the best-ball tournament, setting the stage for an exciting competition this year.
