Adam Roth has been appointed as the executive vice president of global partnerships and business development by the Recording Academy. In his new role, Roth will focus on expanding the Recording Academy’s presence worldwide by establishing partnerships with globally recognized brands and local sponsors.
Previously, Roth served as senior vice president of partnerships and business development, where he was responsible for creating new intellectual property and capitalizing on existing IP to generate new revenue opportunities for the Academy. He also developed programs for sponsors during the Grammy Awards season and devised strategic planning and sales strategies for growing the Academy’s business and revenue streams.
This promotion reflects the Academy’s broader efforts to pursue global initiatives. As an organization that was established in 1957 as the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, the Academy is now increasingly embracing a global perspective. This is evident in the roles held by top executives Harvey Mason Jr. and Panos A. Panay, both of whom have roles related to Grammy Global Ventures.
Harvey Mason Jr., who serves as CEO of the Recording Academy, MusiCares, and Grammy Global Ventures, expressed excitement about Roth’s new role in a statement. In his previous roles at organizations such as Council of Fashion Designers of America and Condé Nast, Roth specialized in creating custom programs for luxury advertising partners. With this experience behind him, he will be well-suited to establish successful partnerships with global brands and local sponsors for the Recording Academy.
