AI in the Workplace: Bridging the Gap between Education and Implementation at Arizona State University

Sharon Chen from Arizona State University emphasizes the importance of preparing the future workforce to understand how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance workflows and where its potential pitfalls lie. As AI becomes more prevalent in industries, there is a growing concern about misuse and bias amplification. To address this issue, Chen stresses the need for proactive measures to educate and equip the workforce for AI utilization.

Catherine Phillips, an MBA student at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, is excited to be part of the country’s first master’s degree program in artificial intelligence in business. The program spans nine months and is open to students with varying technical backgrounds. This deliberate inclusivity reflects the increasing integration of AI technologies across industries.

Accepted students in the program will gain insights on assessing diverse business scenarios and leveraging AI to achieve business objectives. The curriculum aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to effectively apply AI in different business settings.
