Alma Media’s centralized advertising sales and digital advertising development organization recently completed negotiations that resulted in the reduction of 28 personnel years. The majority of reductions were achieved through separation agreements, while eight people were able to find new roles due to changes in job descriptions. Initially, a maximum reduction of 38 person-years was announced at the start of the negotiations.
The negotiations affected the entire operation of Alma Media solutions, excluding Netello. The reduction in workforce targeted various personnel groups within Alma Media solutions and included reorganization, changes in work processes, and the implementation of automation to enhance operational efficiency, as stated in the release.
Alma Media is the parent company of Kauppalehti. The changes in personnel are part of the organization’s efforts to streamline operations and adapt to evolving market demands.
The completion of the negotiations marks a significant milestone for Alma Media as it continues to navigate the challenges and opportunities in the digital advertising and media landscape. The company remains committed to delivering high-quality services to its customers while optimizing its operations for long-term success.
