Apogee Physicians at SGMC Health Recognized as Program of the Year by National Leadership

SGMC Health is thrilled to announce that its hospitalist group, Apogee Physicians, has been recognized as the Program of the Year by its national leadership. This accolade is the highest honor given by Apogee, a physician-owned hospitalist organization operating in 26 states. The hospitalist practice at SGMC Health, led by Program Directors Phillip Alscher, MD, and Dhaval Patel, DO, has demonstrated exceptional performance, dedication to patient care, and innovative practices, setting it apart among Apogee’s numerous programs nationwide.

Apogee Physicians specializes in the care of hospitalized patients. Unlike other doctors who might split their time between their office and the hospital, hospitalists work exclusively in the hospital, providing consistent and comprehensive care throughout a patient’s stay.
