Apple in Talks with Google over AI Integration; No Deal with Meta

Bloomberg: Gemini to be part of Apple Intelligence plan with ChatGPT

According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is reportedly in talks with Google to use its AI technology, Gemini, in its products. This comes after Apple recently announced its own free AI, Apple Intelligence, for its products along with a partnership with OpenAI to improve its assistant Siri’s capabilities.

While earlier reports suggested talks between Apple and Meta, it is now clarified that no deal materialized following their meeting in March. Apple’s AI capabilities will play a crucial role in boosting hardware sales, with experts predicting new features to be a highlight of the iPhone 16 launch.

Apple Intelligence, announced for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, is also expected to extend to augmented and virtual reality glasses, Vision Pro. Even though Apple is actively working on incorporating AI into these devices, the merger is not projected to happen this year according to Bloomberg. The report dismisses the possibility of a merger with Meta due to superior services offered by OpenAI and Google.
