Police responded to the incident and cell phone footage captured several Aurora police vehicles in the hotel parking lot, with at least one officer carrying a riot shield and assault rifle. As the situation unfolded, guests were told to stay in their rooms while police worked to resolve the issue. The police later confirmed that the situation had been peacefully resolved by 11 a.m., with no guns fired during the incident. It is unclear what specifically led to the mental health issue, but guests were relieved that it had been resolved without any further incidents.
