The T20 World Cup warm-up match between Australia and Namibia in Trinidad began with an unusual twist when the Australian team was forced to field with only nine players instead of the required 11. This prompted the chief selector and coach to step in and take the field to make up the numbers. Despite this setback, Australia went on to win the match comfortably at Queen’s Park Oval.
After restricting Namibia to 119-9, Australia chased down the target in just 10 overs with opener David Warner scoring an unbeaten 54. The team secured a seven-wicket victory with ease, showcasing their strength even with a reduced squad. Despite the challenges, the team members were happy to be back on the field after a long layoff.
