Back-to-School Health and Wellness Fair: Getting Your Child Ready for a Successful School Year with Free Sports Physicals, Vaccinations, and More!

PHC is hosting a Back to School Health & Wellness Fair

The Back-to-School Health and Wellness Fair is taking place on Saturday, July 27th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 12 Westbank Expressway. The event aims to ensure that students have a healthy start to the upcoming school year by providing them with sports physicals, vaccinations, and other health services.

Dr. Anna Villanueva, a nurse practitioner at Priority Health Care’s pediatric clinic, emphasized the importance of catching students up on wellness exams and vaccinations before they return to school. This proactive approach aims to keep students healthy and prevent the spread of germs in the school environment.

In addition to these essential services, PHC will offer a range of activities for kids to enjoy at the fair. These include carnival games, face painting, movies, music, refreshments, and snowballs to mark the end of summer. For more information about the fair or any other services offered by PHC’s pediatric clinic, interested individuals can call 504-509-KIDS (5437).

It’s worth noting that there will be no out-of-pocket costs for attending the fair. Whether you have health insurance or not, you will not be turned away. However, if you are insured, make sure to bring your insurance card to the event so that you can take advantage of all the services offered by PHC’s pediatric clinic during this time of year when children need it most.
