Baker School District has appointed Chaves Consulting of Baker City to lead its Technology Department. Starting from June 1, Bob Duker will join as the Systems Administrator and Matt Duman will become Team Lead. Duman, who has been with the district’s Technology Department for almost 2.5 years, is familiar with the ongoing projects and will be in charge of summer projects, including those associated with safety and security for the buildings.
Baker School District Superintendent Betty Palmer expressed gratitude for Justin Crego’s expertise over the past several years, wishing him well in his future endeavors. She looks forward to working with Duker and Duman starting next month as they continue to utilize technology to meet the district’s vision, mission, and goals.
The Baker School District serves approximately 1,700 students locally in Baker City, Oregon, with an additional 3,000 online students across the state. The district is nationally recognized and a major employer in the area.
