Even if they lose in a Super Over, their net run rate would still be below Australia’s, making them uncontested for the remaining spots in the knockout stage.
The team that finishes second in this group will face off against South Africa, currently leading Group 2, in the semi-finals. India will play England in the other semifinal match. These high-stakes games will determine which teams will advance to compete for the T20 World Cup title.
