Marvel Studios is keeping fans on their toes as they eagerly await footage from Captain America: Brave New World. While the release date is set for 2025, fans can catch a sneak peek of the new Anthony Mackie movie during Disney’s closing CinemaCon session. During the presentation at Caesars Palace, Marvel Studios Boss described the film as a grounded political thriller before introducing Mackie himself.
Mackie, who has starred in Marvel movies for ten years, expressed his excitement about being part of his own Marvel movie. He wasted no time and introduced the footage to the audience. In the clip, Harrison Ford’s character, the POTUS, wants Sam Wilson to rebuild the Avengers and is impressed by what he did in Mexico. However, Wilson raises concerns about potential disagreements on managing the new team.
The next scene shows Ford making a presentation to a room full of authorities when a couple of people in the crowd become possessed and turn on him. This leads to an intense confrontation reminiscent of a scene from Air Force One. Directed by Julius Onah from a script by Malcolm Spellman, Dallan Musson, and Matthew Orton, Captain America: Brave New World is set to release on Feb 14th, 2025.
