Biden’s Health Assurance: Democrat Governors Lend Support Amidst Concerns Over First Presidential Debate

Joe Biden discusses health check-up with Democratic Governors following 2024 Presidential Debate

Following a disappointing first presidential debate with Donald Trump, concerns about Joe Biden’s health and re-election prospects have been mounting. In an effort to address these concerns, Biden made a significant disclosure about his medical check-up to over 20 Democratic governors on Wednesday.

During the private meeting, Biden, who is 81 years old, informed the governors that he had undergone a medical check-up after last week’s debate. When asked about his physical condition by one of the governors, Biden stated that he had a check-up and assured them that he remains in good health. However, it was reported that the check-up was conducted by a White House physician due to lingering symptoms from his cold and did not include any major tests.

Despite this revelation, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to directly answer questions from reporters about whether Biden had been examined since the debate. Instead, she emphasized that the president has regular annual physicals with reports released in detail and that this practice would continue.

In response to the news of Biden’s check-up, Maryland Governor Wes Moore expressed support for President Joe Biden’s re-election bid, stating that they would always have their backs. New York Governor Kathy Hochul also expressed her confidence in Biden following the meeting where all governors pledged their support to him. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz emphasized the importance of supporting Biden as the party’s leader due to the threat of a Trump presidency.
