Breaking Ground on Jerusalem’s New Metro Lines: A Step Towards Improved Public Transportation System”.

In order to keep up with demand, it has been determined that the city will need to expand its metro system by constructing new lines.

The terms of the tender specify that the design work for the new metro lines should be completed by the end of 2026. This is an ambitious timeline, but it is necessary to have construction of the metro lines begin by 2040. This timeline allows for the necessary planning and design work to be completed before groundbreaking starts.
