Bristol’s Clearance Sale in Deurne: The Latest Chapter in the Financial Struggles of the Shoe and Clothing Chain

Bristol Shoe Store in Deurne Launches Clearance Sale with Items Priced from 1 to 5 Euros

Bristol, the shoe and clothing chain, has launched a clearance sale in its store on Keesinglaan in Deurne. The sale is offering items for 1, 3, or 5 euros. The chain, which has 117 stores in Belgium, is currently facing serious financial difficulties and is seeking a buyer.

The marketing director of Bristol, Lore Vanaudenhouve, stated that the store in Deurne is the first to start the clearance sale, with a wide selection of clothing available at discounted prices. Once everything is sold, the store will be closed. The sale is taking place because the independent operator of the store has ceased operations, and Bristol’s own staff is now managing the store.

While the sale is ongoing in Deurne, other Bristol stores in Flanders are still being supplied from the distribution center in Beringen. Customers can enjoy discounts of up to seventy percent at these stores. Negotiations with potential buyers for the Bristol stores are ongoing, with more information expected to be announced by the beginning of August.

Bristol has faced challenges due to various factors such as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on sales, rising rent and energy costs, economic downturns and unfavorable weather conditions affecting sales. Additionally, it lacks scale compared to larger competitors which allows better discounts from suppliers. Despite these challenges, Bristol continues to work towards finding a solution for its financial troubles while keeping its customers informed about any updates on their purchases or future deals through social media channels like Facebook or Instagram pages dedicated to them.
