Georgie Campbell, a successful British equestrian rider, tragically passed away after falling from her horse during a competition at the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon, southwest England. The fatal accident occurred while Campbell was riding Global Quest. Despite immediate medical attention, she could not be saved. The horse, Global Quest, was unharmed and walked back to the stable.

Campbell, aged 37, had a successful career in equestrian sports. She competed in more than 200 events and won six times. She represented Great Britain in the Nations Cup series. Her husband, Jesse Campbell, is also a horse rider who competed for New Zealand at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago. The family has requested privacy during this extremely difficult and sad time.
