The Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE) held its annual meeting at an unusual location, the Patricios Regiment, with excitement among the 420 attendees. Although governors and invited officials were absent, most of those present showed support for the government with some reservations.
Gonzalo Tanoria Bemberg, owner and president of San Miguel citrus company, spoke out in favor of Javier Milei by capitalizing the company at US$40 million. He encouraged other entrepreneurs to support Milei by investing in production lines, machinery, and hiring more people. Tanoria participated in a debate on the challenges facing Argentina alongside Santiago del Sel and Juan Vaquer, who emphasized the need for a revolution of values.
The RIGI (Incentive Regime for Large Investments) was well-received at the meeting, but concerns were raised about its compatibility with currency controls. The meeting also touched on the need for change in Argentina and the challenges faced by the country.
In his closing remarks, Luis Guastini, CEO of Manpower Group, highlighted the importance of leaving no one behind and utilizing Argentina’s resources for comprehensive development. Silvia Bulla, president of ACDE, echoed this sentiment and expressed concern about high poverty rates in the country. The meeting concluded with a call for positive change and a commitment to work towards a better future.
