Call for Nominations: Celebrate Mothers in Sports with ‘Sports Mom of the Year’ Award on Mother’s Day

Would you like to nominate a deserving mother in the sports world for recognition? For the sixth consecutive year, we are seeking to honor a “Sports Mom of the Year” by featuring her on May 12th, which also happens to be Mother’s Day. To make a nomination, please submit the mother’s name along with an explanation of why she should be named “Sports Mom of the Year” by 9 p.m. on May 3rd. You can send an email to Kyle Neddenriep at kyle.neddenriep@indystar.com or leave a voicemail including your contact information at (317) 444-6649.

In previous years, the award has been shared by Crystal Clark and Amy Dinwiddie. Past winners include Susie Strange (2018), Kris Scheeps (2017), Kathy Loggan (2016), and Angie Young (2015). If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Star reporter Kyle Neddenriep at (317) 444-6649.
