Collaboration for Economic Growth: How the Northwest Texas APEX Accelerator Center is Connecting Small Businesses with Government Agencies in Wichita Falls

Small Business Education Event Held by Texas Tech University

The Northwest Texas APEX Accelerator Center recently hosted an event at MSU’s Dillard College of Business Administration building in Wichita Falls, Texas. The goal of the event was to educate small businesses on how to connect with government agencies. Several large agencies were in attendance, with the aim of linking small businesses with business opportunities in the public sector. Our team had the opportunity to speak with the program director at Texas Tech about the benefits of this initiative for the community.

The program director emphasized that by connecting large public agencies and buyers with small local businesses, money can be spent within the community. This partnership allows small businesses in Wichita Falls to work with some of the biggest buyers in the area, creating opportunities for growth and collaboration. By fostering relationships between these entities, the event aimed to make it easier for small businesses to engage with government agencies, which can sometimes feel overwhelming for new entrepreneurs.

The event served as a platform for networking and learning about business opportunities within the public sector. This collaboration between government agencies and small businesses has the potential to stimulate economic growth in Wichita Falls and support the local business community. Copyright 2024 KAUZ.
