The Kentucky Wildcats will be facing off against the Texas A&M Aggies in their second game of the College World Series on Monday night at 6:00 p.m. CT/7:00 p.m. ET. This matchup will take place in the winner’s bracket, while Florida and NC State will be competing in the loser’s bracket.
The Aggies secured their spot in the winner’s bracket by defeating Florida 3-2 on Saturday night, setting them up for a showdown with Kentucky in the College World Series. Although Texas A&M has made eight appearances in the College World Series, they have never won an NCAA Championship.
In their opening game of the CWS, Kentucky found themselves trailing 4-3 heading into the ninth inning against NC State. However, a solo home run by Ryan Nicholson tied the game in the ninth, and a walk-off solo home run by Mitch Daly in the 10th secured Kentucky’s first-ever victory in the College World Series.
The last time these two teams faced off was in 2023 when Texas A&M won the series 2-1 in College Station. The Wildcats currently hold a slim lead over Texas A&M with a record of 5-4 all-time between them.
