Colts Sign Five Draftees and Seven Undrafted Free Agents, Strengthening Defense for Upcoming Season

The Colts have signed five of their draftees, including first-round defensive end Laiatu Latu, fifth-round linebacker Jaylon Carlies, fifth-round cornerback Jaylin Simpson, sixth-round cornerback Micah Abraham, and seventh-round defensive tackle Jonah Laulu. With these signings, these players are now under contract with the team.

Laulu, who was the 15th overall selection in the NFL Draft, had a successful college career at UCLA (2022-23) and Washington (2019-21). During his time in college, he amassed 101 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 24 sacks, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, six passes defensed, and two interceptions.

In addition to the draftees, the Colts also signed seven undrafted free agents. These players include quarterback/wide receiver Jason Bean, running back Trent Pennix
