CommonSpirit Health and Anthem insurance have reached an agreement that makes people with Anthem insurance in-network when they are treated at CommonSpirit facilities. This is a relief for many residents in Southern Colorado who were worried about their healthcare coverage after CommonSpirit Health became out-of-network for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance customers on May 1.
Under the new deal, any health care services members received at CommonSpirit since May 1 will be covered at in-network benefit levels. The agreement is set to expire in five years, providing some stability for patients and providers in the area.
