DJI, a renowned manufacturer of drones and cameras, has ventured into a new sector by introducing its line of electric bikes at the Eurobike 2024 fair. The company unveiled its latest brand, Amflow Bikes, with the first model in this line being the Amflow PL. The innovative DJI Avinox transmission system allows for smartphone control and monitoring of cycling activity, showcasing DJI’s commitment to integrating technology into mobility.
The Amflow PL electric mountain bike is equipped with advanced features such as a maximum power of 850W and a weight of just 19.2 kilograms. Its carbon fiber frame weighs only 2.27 kg, contributing to its lightweight design. With the DJI Avinox Drive System integrated into the engine, the bike delivers 105 Nm of torque and a rated power of 250W, weighing just 2.52 kg. This system automatically adjusts assistance based on terrain conditions and rider position thanks to its array of sensors.
The bike offers various operating modes such as a ‘Boost’ mode that increases torque to 120 Nm and assistance to 1000W for easier hill climbing and a ‘Walk’ mode that prevents rolling back and provides start-up assistance along with the ability to change gears while stationary. It also features two battery options: one of 600 Wh and another of 800 Wh. The larger capacity battery weighs only 2.87kg and can be charged from 0% to 75% in just 1
