EA Sports Brings Authenticity to College Football through Immersive Features, Mascots and Turnover Traditions in New Release College Football 25

EA Sports Reveals the Depth of Immersion in College Football 25, Featuring Sights, Sounds, and Traditions of College Football

EA Sports is dedicated to providing an authentic college football experience through its latest game, College Football 25. Today, the focus is on how the development team brings immersion to the game through sights and sounds. The team has revealed five key features that showcase their efforts to capture the traditions, unique details, and atmosphere of all 134 Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision schools. These features include Authentic Gameday Experiences, Detailed Traditions, Motion Capture Efforts, Mascots, and Turnover Traditions.

To truly capture the essence of a college football game, EA Sports has included pre-game atmospheres with crowd chants and team runouts in the game. Examples include Clemson University’s iconic run down The Hill and Notre Dame’s tradition of tapping the “Play Like a Champion Today” sign before taking the field. To provide an even more realistic touch, the development team built props and sets to provide accurate motion capture for some of these traditions. Real people and stunt actors were used in these efforts to ensure that every detail was captured accurately.

EA Sports has also made sure to include unique turnover traditions found at certain schools in the game. These can be seen briefly in the official reveal trailer for College Football 25. In addition to these traditions, mascots are another integral part of college football culture, and the game will feature 50 mascots – including 40 costumed mascots like Wake Forest’s Demon Deacon and Ohio State’s Brutus Buckeye – as well as 10 real mascots including Texas’ Bevo and Georgia’s Uga.

College Football 25 is set to be released on July 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. For more information about this exciting new release from EA Sports – including our hands-on preview – be sure to check out IGN today!
