Elon Musk, the owner of X, has expressed his intention to make the platform versatile, offering audio, video, messaging, and payment capabilities. The company is preparing a new application for Amazon and Samsung smart TVs, aiming to compete with Google by providing similar functionalities.
The interface of the video playback platform for smart TV known as X resembles that of YouTube TV, with similar tabs for Home, Search, and Profile Pages. A source close to X revealed plans for launching an application with long-form videos up to two hours in length to position itself in the streaming video platform sector.
An application researcher and web developer provided a preview of the new application’s design, which closely resembles that of YouTube TV. The main interface includes a login screen, Home, Search, and Profile Pages tabs. The platform will offer both long-form videos and Shorts, as well as filters for recommended content and trending videos.
