Girls 4 Science Unveils Summer Saturday STEM Academy Launch

Girls 4 Science, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), is thrilled to announce the launch of its Summer Saturday STEM Academy. The program will focus on Mechanics and is designed for girls aged 10-18.

The Girls 4 Science Saturday STEM Academy aims to provide hands-on experiences in various STEM disciplines, fostering a love for discovery and innovation among young girls. Through interactive workshops and experiments, participants will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity and scientific curiosity.

Jackie Lomax, Founder and Executive Director of Girls 4 Science, believes that every girl has the potential to succeed in STEM fields. She stated, “With our Saturday STEM Academy, we are equipping young girls with the necessary tools, resources, and encouragement to excel in these fields and become the next generation of innovators and leaders.”

Experienced instructors and STEM professionals will lead the sessions at Malcolm X College Joliet Junior College Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences providing personalized guidance and real-world insights into STEM concepts.

The Summer session of the Saturday STEM Academy will begin in July and run every Saturday from July 6th to August 10th. All interested participants are welcome to join at no cost. Enrollment details can be found on girls4science.org.
