In Augusta, GA, a local college hosted the “Find Us in the Community” health and wellness fair. The Unity Center of Augusta organized the event in collaboration with Angelic Community Resource Development at the Paine College Heal Complex. This year, September was HIV testing month, and the fair provided HIV testing, health screenings, vendors, and more.
John Milton, CEO of Angelic Community Resources Development, urged attendees to get their HIV test to know their status and their partner’s status. He emphasized that the event offered more than just HIV testing – it included wellness tests like checking blood pressure, eyes, and teeth as well as prostate checks, voter registration, and other activities at Paine College in the HEAL complex.
The fair took place from 2 to 6 p.m., with updates on future events to be provided.
