Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is dedicated to promoting physical activity and cultural awareness among Native American youth. During the American Indian Boarding School era, Native children were forcibly removed from their homes and placed in boarding schools by the U.S. government. This led to severe abuse, trauma, and the suppression of their languages and traditions. OKCIC is focused on healing this generational trauma by offering programs that teach today’s youth the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while honoring their heritage.
