Now Open: Register for the 25th Annual Small Business Expo!

The 25th Annual Small Business Expo, organized by the City’s Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Program and Wake County Public School System, is set to take place this June. This event aims to connect small business owners and minority and women-owned business enterprises to valuable resources.

The expo will be held on Friday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the McKimmon Center located at 1101 Gorman St. The schedule for the event includes lunch and a keynote speaker from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an Information Expo open from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., which is open for drop-ins with no registration required.

This year’s keynote speaker is James Montague, President of F7 International Development, who has an inspiring entrepreneurial journey that began in Southeast Raleigh at the age of 14 when he started cutting hair in his mother’s kitchen before opening his first salon at the age of 19 and expanding into real estate development with projects like Montague Plaza and Elders Peak Apartments. His company stands for Faith In Action, highlighting his belief that faith motivates him to solve problems and help others.
