Inter Milan midfielder Jacopo Martini is close to finalizing a loan deal with Serie B side Sudtirol, according to Tuttosport via FCInterNews. The 19-year-old has been on loan with Foggia in Serie C for the past season, gaining senior experience in the Italian third tier.
Martini has been with Inter’s youth setup since 2020 when he joined the Nerazzurri’s Under-18 team from Chievo Verona. He has spent time on loan with SPAL’s Under-19 and Primavera teams, as well as Inter’s Primavera team. Martini helped Inter’s Under-19s win the Primavera championship during his time with the team under former player Christian Chivu as coach.
With interest from other Serie B clubs, Sudtirol has emerged as the frontrunner to secure Martini’s signature on a season-long loan deal from Foggia. The move is seen as a logical step up for Martini as he continues his development in Italian football.
