Expanding Heights: San Antonio Zoo Celebrates World Giraffe Day and Promotes Conservation Efforts

The City of San Antonio Marks World Giraffe Day with Festivities

The San Antonio Zoo is celebrating World Giraffe Day by showcasing the unique beauty of giraffes and raising awareness about the need for conservation efforts to protect them. The zoo is currently expanding its Savanna Habitat for its giraffes, with construction underway to create a 126% larger space. To further engage the local community, the zoo is hosting Local’s Day on Friday, offering discounted admission tickets for Bexar County residents at $8. This initiative encourages residents to come and experience the beauty of giraffes while supporting conservation efforts. Visitors can take advantage of this special offer to explore the expanded Savanna Habitat and learn about the zoo’s commitment to protecting these majestic creatures.
