Exploratory Interest: Sacramento Kings Eye Brandon Ingram as Potential Trade Target

Kings consider trading for Pelicans standout Ingram – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

Sacramento Kings reportedly showed exploratory interest in acquiring New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram. While discussions between the two teams have not yet escalated, other potential trade destinations for Ingram include the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors.

The Kings put together a trade package that included Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, and draft picks during the 2024 NBA Draft. General manager Monte McNair was pleased with the selection of Devin Carter, indicating that Sacramento may be hesitant to include him in any potential trade deals. However, the Kings still have their first-round picks in future drafts starting in 2026 that could be included in a package deal with Huerter and Barnes.

Adding a player of Ingram’s caliber would be a significant addition to Sacramento’s young core. Ingram averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game in the 2023-24 season. For more insights and updates on the NBA, you can download and follow The Deuce & Mo Podcast.
