Ras Al Khaimah Chamber seeks to enhance collaboration with China

Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce Chairman Mohammed Musabah Al Nuaimi recently met with a delegation from the Republic of China. The Chinese delegation was led by Shen Sun Rong, Chairman of the Chinese Business Council in the UAE, and included Zhou Lian, Advisor to the Economic and Commercial Office at the Embassy, as well as members of the diplomatic corps at the Embassy of the Republic of China in the country. More than 30 directors and presidents of Chinese companies also attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties between Ras Al Khaimah and China, highlighting the emirate’s role in promoting trade relations between the two countries. Al Nuaimi praised China’s commitment to developing these relations across various sectors and fostering collaboration that benefits both countries’ business communities. He emphasized Ras Al Khaimah’s diversified economy that is based on tourism, business, manufacturing, shipping, transportation services, natural resources and oil beyond.

Al Nuaimi provided an overview of Ras Al Khaimah’s services to investors and businesses in his speech, highlighting its strategic location at the crossroads of major trade routes between Asia-Pacific and Africa-Europe regions which make it an attractive destination for foreign investment. He also highlighted how RAKZ is a leading business hub in Dubai’s northern emirates providing a comprehensive range of facilities for investors such as tax exemptions on profits made in free zones or through freehold ownership agreements with developers; while RAKTDA focuses on developing tourism infrastructure in order to attract more visitors to Ras Al Khaimah year round.

The meeting included representatives from Stephen Rock Company who shared their experiences investing in Ras Al Khaimah and how it has been beneficial for their business growth. Additionally, representatives from RAK Bank provided insights into financial services available to foreign investors looking to establish businesses in Ras Al Khaimah or those already established there.
