Fairfield Police Shut Down Gift Shop Amidst Drug Bust and Business Misconduct Allegations

Fairfield Police Close Local Business Following 6-Month Investigation

Fairfield police shut down a local business on West Texas Street and Pennsylvania Street after six months of investigation. The Field Gift Shop was accused of opening its business with misleading information, despite being advertised as a local gift shop. The investigation uncovered two illegally owned pistols, marijuana for sale, cocaine, and a stolen dirtbike.

According to the police, the gift shop lacked both passion for the community and quality in its business. Two men from Fairfield were arrested in connection with the investigation, but their names were not released.

The case was referred to Fairfield’s Code Enforcement Unit (CEU), which imposed fines and recommended revoking the gift shop’s business license. The business has 15 days to appeal before the closure process continues.
