Florida Gators Face Tough Schedule in 2024, with Addition of Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners

Florida football program is set to face a tough schedule this season, particularly with the addition of Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. The Gators’ 2024 schedule is considered one of the most challenging in the fall by many.

On3’s Andy Staples discussed this on his streaming channel, highlighting the challenges that the Orange and Blue will face this season. Staples pointed out that Florida will have to face some tough opponents, including Miami, UCF, and Florida State, as well as their final four SEC games against Georgia, Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss.

Staples also noted that there may be a lack of parity in SEC scheduling, with some teams facing tougher opponents than others. He highlighted that Florida has been handed one of the most brutal schedules in the SEC this season.

The Gators’ 2024 season opener will be against Miami on August 31 in Gainesville, Florida. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ABC Sports. Follow GatorsWire on social media for ongoing coverage of Florida Gators news, notes, and opinions.
