Scott Swilley, a former senior program manager at ECS, has been appointed as the director of business development at Figure Eight Federal. In this new role, he will oversee the company’s strategy for expanding its offerings in artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial data labeling for defense, civilian, and intelligence agencies.
Vinay Malkani, president of Figure Eight Federal, expressed confidence in Swilley’s abilities to drive growth in this space. “Scott has a deep understanding of data labeling, geospatial intelligence, and military operations,” Malkani said. “He is a trusted leader in the field of intelligence missions and we are excited to have him on board.”
Prior to joining Figure Eight Federal, Swilley served as a civil engineer in the U.S. Army for more than two decades. During his time at ECS, he managed program delivery operations and led transition and capture efforts for the Department of Defense’s AI program. He also served as a division chief within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s mission management integration group and as a service chiefs fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Swilley’s background and expertise make him well-equipped to lead Figure Eight Federal’s business development efforts in AI and geospatial data labeling. He brings with him years of experience working with government agencies and a deep understanding of military operations and intelligence missions.
