From Chemotherapy to Dream Realization: Blane Cross Launches His Own Lawn Care Company”.

Texas teenager selects unconventional Make-A-Wish: A lawn care company

In 2022, when Blane Cross was just 14 years old, he was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This moment was life-changing for him and brought about a host of challenges. Blane had always loved mowing the lawn, having done it since he was three years old. However, chemotherapy knocked out his immune system, preventing him from being around people or even mowing the lawn.

Blane’s dad, Greg, recalled how they used to spend many afternoons outside together with Blane mowing while he mowed the lawn. As he grew older, it became a source of peace and joy for Blane. When he was diagnosed with cancer, it hit him hard, and he missed it even more. After six months of chemotherapy, Blane is now in remission. He has been granted a wish from Make-A-Wish North Texas and chose to start his own lawn care company instead of going on a vacation.

With the support of Superscapes and his family by his side, Blane saw this opportunity as a chance to start a career doing something he loved and was passionate about. His dream is to launch Cross Cuts in the near future and is grateful for the moment he is in now.

Blane reflected on the challenges of life but remained hopeful that pushing through trials can lead to blessings and provisions in the end. His positive outlook and determination are inspiring as he starts his new venture in the lawn care industry.
