The Oscar-winning actor, who was previously hospitalized in April 2023 while filming the Netflix film “Back in Action” in Atlanta, shared more details about his experience during his hospitalization in a video posted to TikTok.
In the video, Foxx explained that he had a “bad headache” on April 11, 2023, and doesn’t remember anything after asking for an Advil. He was hospitalized for 20 days and was told he received a cortisone shot by a doctor. Foxx mentioned that his sister and daughter took him to the doctor and something was “going on up there” in his head.
Foxx has been guarded about his private life and strayed away from the limelight following the incident. He had previously mentioned that he wanted to maintain a positive image for the public, avoiding any images of him in a vulnerable state. However, in a video posted on Instagram in July 2023, Foxx talked more about his experience, expressing his gratitude for the support from fans and well-wishers. He further updated his followers in August 2023, mentioning that he was starting to feel like himself again after a long and unexpected dark journey.
