From Dodgeball to Miracles: Uniting Communities Through Sports

Players from Philadelphia make Team USA for Dodgeball World Championship

Philadelphia’s very own Philly Dodgeball league, founded by Navy veteran Samantha Sayward, is bringing an exciting twist to the traditional game. Sayward and her league mate Tara Peng have both qualified to represent Team USA at the World Dodgeball Federation championships in Austria this August, demonstrating their impressive skills and passion for the game in a video above.

On the other hand, there is another league in Gloucester County that is making waves in the sports world. The Miracle League of Gloucester County provides athletes of all abilities with the opportunity to play ball, promoting physical activity and fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among players.

Both Philly Dodgeball and The Miracle League of Gloucester County are shining examples of how sports can bring people together and create memorable experiences. Whether you’re dodging balls on the court or hitting home runs on the field, these leagues are proving that sports are for everyone, regardless of ability.
