From Home Run Hitter to Well-Rounded Individual: Meet Kiah Helget

Kiah Helget, a senior at New Ulm Cathedral High School, had an impressive performance in a recent softball game against Nicollet. In just four innings, the Greyhounds emerged victorious with a 16-0 score thanks to Helget’s two-run home run that sealed the deal. Her exceptional play on the field was highlighted by her going 4 for 4 with four RBIs.

Off the softball field, Helget enjoys reading and weightlifting as hobbies. When asked about her favorite things, she mentioned that chicken from Raising Cane’s is her go-to food, The Maze Runner is her top movie choice, and Simone Biles is her favorite athlete due to their shared background in gymnastics. She also expressed a strong desire to have a Golden Retriever as a pet, although her parents have yet to grant her wish.

Helget’s success on the softball field is just one aspect of what makes her such an outstanding individual. Despite being highly skilled on the diamond, she has a well-rounded set of interests and passions that reflect her personality beyond the game.
