From Motor Oil to Flowerbed: Robbinsdale’s New Birdtown Backyard Garden Center Bloom

Gardeners in Robbinsdale have long been limited in their shopping options, but this spring brought a significant change with the opening of the Birdtown Backyard garden center. The space, which was once used for storing lawnmowers and snowblowers, has been transformed into a thriving garden center that offers everything from grilling supplies and patio furniture to a wide variety of garden tools and accessories.

According to Bryan Dawson, the manager at Welna Ace Hardware, the process of creating the Birdtown Backyard involved cleaning up years of motor oil and gasoline residue. The first phase focused on stocking essential items such as grilling supplies, patio furniture, and pet food. However, as demand grew, the second phase expanded to include a wider range of products for gardening enthusiasts.

Customers like Alicia Losier have been impressed with the selection and are excited to find everything they need for their gardening projects. “I’ve been looking for a place to buy all my gardening supplies for years,” said Losier. “Finally, I found what I was looking for right here in Robbinsdale.”

Dawson expressed his satisfaction with the positive reception from the community and emphasized the goal of making the garden center a valuable asset for Robbinsdale residents. He hopes to provide a convenient option for customers to fulfill their gardening needs without having to travel outside of the area. With record-breaking sales in the first few weeks of spring, it looks like the Birdtown Backyard will be a busy hub for years to come.

During the winter months, the garden center space will be utilized as a lot for Christmas trees. This versatile use of the space demonstrates Welna Ace Hardware’s commitment to serving the needs of Robbinsdale’s community members throughout all seasons.

Overall, Brandon Caviness believes that this new addition is an excellent opportunity for garden enthusiasts in Robbinsdale who have long been limited by shopping options.

The transformation from a simple storage area to a thriving garden center reflects Welna Ace Hardware’s dedication to providing value-added resources for its customers in Robbinsdale.
