As I sat in the gray uncomfortable chairs, surrounded by reporters who have known each other for years, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. Despite being new to the game, I knew that my appearance and diligent notes were crucial. When the game ended, I positioned myself at the front row of the press conference and steadied my voice as I asked questions. A male reporter even complimented me on asking a technical question, which made me feel proud of my capabilities.

As the deadline approached, I rushed to finish the story, relishing in the stress and feeling of being the last to leave. Seeing my name under the headline brought me immense joy and a sense of accomplishment. The pride I felt from finishing a story that was better than my last one made all the panic worthwhile. My family would eagerly read my story and praise it for days to come.
