From Struggling to Empowered: Marissa Cunningham’s Journey to Help Women Find Their Power Through Fitness

Marissa Cunningham is a woman of many talents. As the owner of Body by MC, she offers personal training and small group training to help women find their power and confidence in the gym. Her passion for empowering women through fitness began after having two babies in two years and struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety. Through her own fitness journey, she discovered the mental and physical benefits of exercise and became a certified personal trainer.

Initially reluctant to go to the gym, Cunningham’s husband encouraged her to keep coming back, leading to positive changes in her body image and overall well-being. She transitioned from cosmetology school to pursue a career in fitness, teaching various classes from Silver Sneakers to Zumba to yoga. Cunningham believes it is her calling to inspire healthy living and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experiences with like-minded women who want to improve themselves.

Cunningham’s commitment to helping women find their power through fitness has led her on a journey of continuous growth and evolution. She plans on offering even more resources for her clients, including a mobile app, real-time virtual training, and more personalized coaching options.
