On Friday evening, a 16-year-old Belgian boy tragically passed away after an accident in the Italian ski area Via Lattea. According to Italian media reports, the family has agreed to organ donation. The boy was skiing with his family on the 2,700-meter-high Monte Fraiteve mountain when he lost control of his skis around 1.30 pm on Thursday. It is believed that he suddenly fell ill, causing him to crash hard and fall outside the designated ski area. His family quickly called for help, and rescue services arrived on the scene, airlifting him to a hospital in Turin. Despite efforts to resuscitate him in the intensive care unit, he was in critical condition and unfortunately passed away on Friday evening.
