A creative economy is one that harnesses the power of artistic and cultural expression to drive economic growth. This is the focus of the Southwest Wisconsin Creative Economy Summit, hosted by Create Wisconsin, Prosperity Southwest, Lafayette County Economic Development Corporation and Green County Development Corporation.
The event aims to bring together individuals from various sectors to explore how creativity can drive economic growth in the region. The summit will take place at the Monroe Arts Center on June 19th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with attendees encouraged to include local leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, elected officials, non-profit and community groups, service clubs, educators, and anyone interested in discussing innovative solutions to bolster economic prosperity.
By fostering collaboration between different stakeholders, the summit aims to spark conversations on placemaking, community engagement, and economic and workforce development. Through these discussions, participants will explore how creativity can drive sustainable economic growth and foster innovation in southwest Wisconsin.
